Many Wolves fans have been left blasting the display of Fabio Silva in his side’s 3-3 draw versus Brighton in the Premier League.
The Portugal U19 international did not have the best of games for Nuno Espirito Santo’s team as they were held to a frustrating draw having been 3-1 up at half-time.
Should Wolves have spent so much on Silva?
He failed to get on the scoresheet yet again for the Molineux faithful, which has meant that he has only managed to find the back of the net a mere three times in what is now 14 matches in all competitions so far in the 2020/21 term (Transfermarkt).
The 18-year-old lost out on five of his duels in the clash and also failed to register a single shot on target or dribble, earning him a quite measly 6.5 overall rating on Sofascore.
He also only managed a mere 31 touches of the ball, and given that he lost possession of it 12 times (Sofascore), he lost the ball around every 2.5 touches on average.
Wolves fan reaction to Silva display
These Wanderers fans blasted his performance on Twitter, with one WWFC supporter branding the striker as a ‘lost chicken’:
“Silva just isn’t ready for this league #BHAWOL”
“Looks totally insignificant”
“Fabio Silva is not a £38 million pound player – I went Crawley away. #wwfc”
“Fabio Silva looks like a lost chicken in someone else’s farm, a shocking performance along with that shaky back 4! #wwfc”
“Not seen anything to justify the price tag so far… also lacks a bit of pace.”
“Criminal we have spent £35 million on Fabio Silva, for that price we could have got one or two experienced players #wwfc”
“Playing with 10 men tonight with Silva. Not good enough #wwfc”
“Did Fabio Silva win a raffle In his local Portuguese paper to sign for us? £30+ million is laughable #wwfc”
