Wolverhampton Wanderers have reportedly made enquiries for two Serie A centre-backs.

According to Sky Sports, they're keen on Fiorentina's Nikola Milenkovic and Bologna's Takeiro Tomiyasu.

West Ham United had been in talks over a deal for Milenkovic, but they were unable to reach an agreement and 'discussions have ended for now'.

Wolves have made their interest known, but they face fresh competition from Tottenham Hotspur and he may ultimately 'prove too costly'.

And what about Tomiyasu?

Spurs have also been involved, without success, in negotiations over a potential deal for Tomiyasu.

His preference is a move to North London, but it would seem that that move is now in doubt.

Wolves have already bolstered their centre-back ranks this summer, though £4.68million addition Yerson Mosquera may be regarded as one of the future at the age of 20.

Alongside the Colombian, Bruno Lage has Conor Coady, Max Kilman, Willy Boly, Romain Saiss and Marcal at his disposal.
