Many Wolves fans are against midfielder Joao Moutinho starting against Leicester City in their next Premier League clash on Saturday.
The 34-year-old scored the winning goal last time out during his side’s 2-1 victory over nine-men Arsenal at Molineux, with a date penned in with the Foxes next time around.
The former Portugal international has started 16 games this season and scored one goal while averaging a match rating of 6.49 (Whoscored).
Should Joao Moutinho start against Leicester?
With this in mind, supporters were not convinced and made their feelings clear to Talking Wolves on Twitter regarding Moutinho’s possible inclusion.
Moutinho not convincing these fans
“Not for me. He’s been off the pace for 18 months now.”
“No. Wondergoal doesn’t warrant a start against one of the best, most balanced midfields in the league.”
“Too old. He’s lost it. His legs are gone.”
“He has been great for us but last few games he has been leggy and loose with ball we should let him rest we have donk and Otasowie to take the strain.”
“Tbh no. That pass accuracy is lower than Palace where everyone was slaughtering him. One strike shouldn’t warrant a start.”
“I would be inclined to bring Otesowie and Donk into Midfield with Neves and drop Moutinho and Podence out to start the game- we need to win the midfield battle to get anything out of them”
“He had a good second half, scoring a wondergoal and always having a yellow card in his adds more risk than reward. no chance.”
