Eriksen to Molineux?

The Athletic revealed that the Black Country club were offered the 28-year-old, and supporters will be familiar with him after an impressive and lengthy stint at Tottenham before his time in North London came to an end last year.

But opportunities at the San Siro have been few and far between during the 2020/21 campaign. making just four starts and accumulating 296 minutes of game time (Whoscored). As a result, the Denmark international has been offered to a plethora of English teams.

There is no taking away what he achieved under Mauricio Pochettino. Eriksen was described as a player that “makes everything look easy” by former teammate Roberto Soldado, and was called “amazing” by the Argentinian tactician.

From 305 outings, Eriksen scored 69 goals and provided 89 assists and has racked up over 100 caps for his country on the back of his Tottenham spell (TransferMarkt), but Wolves are focusing on signing a striker, per the report.

Transfer Tavern Verdict

There is no getting away from the fact that Eriksen would be a sensational signing for Wolves and Nuno Espirito Santo.

But with the report suggesting that they turned down the chance to sign him, it looks unlikely that he will be arriving any time soon.

In their defence, they have larger fish to fry, in the form of finding a replacement for Raul Jimenez this month.
