Lots of Wolves fans have been reacting to a transfer update on both Joao Palhinha and Ruben Neves.
Speaking on Fabrizio Romano's Twitch show, football journalist Pedro Sepulveda has claimed (via Talking Wolves) that the Midlands club will buy Palhinha if Neves moves on from Molineux, with talks already underway to sign the Sporting Lisbon ace in the summer window.
Described as a ‘special’ player last season by Sporting manager Ruben Amorim, Palhinha was key in their 2020/21 title win, winning 9.1 duels per match while also averaging 3.3 tackles, 1.5 interceptions and 1.2 clearances per game (Sofascore).
Neves leaving would be a real shame given his tremendous contributions during four years at Molineux, but Palhinha would not be a bad replacement at all, and some Wolves supporters are even hoping that he can join to play alongside his Portuguese colleague in midfield.
