Wolves fans are gutted with the news that it looks like they will not be signing Renato Sanches from Lille before the end of the transfer window.

So far this transfer window, the Old Gold have brought in five new faces, while they have completed the permanent signing of Rayan Ait Nouri (Transfermarkt). It has, therefore, not been a quiet window for the club, but Bruno Lage may well have been hoping to get a couple more deals over the line.

One man they had been looking to capture was Sanches, who currently plays in Ligue 1. They were in talks to take him to Molineux on loan, but it seems that deal is not in good shape. According to Tim Spiers, the deal is off as things stands.

The news were shared on Twitter by Spiers himself, and it attracted plenty of attention from the supporters. They took to the social media platform to share their thoughts.

Let's see what the fans had to say about the Sanches news below

"This is absolutely appalling whoever is responsible for transfer deals at the club needs sacking. We’ve had 2 months to sort this but leave it to the last minute & then screw it up. If we don’t get a CB & midfielder at least we will be royally screwed especially with MGW going."

"Penny pinching cost us our major targets and now we're panicking and can't get anyone decent to improve the squad. Scott Sellars sort yourself out. Other clubs doing their business early and getting the players they need in."

"Is Jez Moxey back in charge of the cheque book again it's becoming a joke. Likely to miss out on top quality player over penny's that's nothing compared to how much the owners are worth"

"Lol we new that would happen wolves will tell you we tried as much as we could to get deals over the line. And nothing on the final day. If spurs put 50 mill up wolves would sell Traore fans will be turning on these owners sooner rather than later absolute shambles"

"Flirting massive risk with relegation which I think is guaranteed what a pathetic transfer window this is for wolves"

"Just shows the club are accepting relegation as they don’t want to commit to having to pay. Pathetic as usual."
