Wolves: Patrick Cutrone wants to leave Fiorentina in January - Wolves Transfer Rumours

Wolverhampton Wanderers loanee Patrick Cutrone wants to leave Fiorentina in January, according to reports.

Up in the air for Cutrone

The 22-year-old is currently on loan with La Viola after leaving Molineux in search for first-team opportunities but is yet to start a game for Cesare Prandelli’s side in Serie A this season, with just 10 appearances from the bench.

Cutrone has failed to score for the Italian club, and has only averaged 0.3 shots and an average match rating of 6.01 from a total of 181 minutes of playing time (Whoscored). However, he was compared to AC Milan legend Filippo Inzaghi during his time at Rossoneri (cited by SI).

Who is Wolves' PL top goal scorer?

As a result, Tuttosport (via Sport Witness) revealed that Cutrone wants to find a new club when the January transfer window opens next month.

The report added that the Italian striker ‘lost his smile’ when he made the move from AC Milan to Wolves in 2019 and Torino are looking to take him from Fiorentina’s hands until the end of the season, in line for a £9.2m move in the summer.

Transfer Tavern take

It has not been made clear at this what Wolves’ intention is with Cutrone, having only scored twice in three starts for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side during his debut season in the Premier League (Whoscored).

With the likes of Pedro Neto, Daniel Podence, and of course, Raul Jimenez ahead of him in the pecking order, his future at Molineux looks incredibly bleak.

That being said, Jimenez’s serious head injury could force Nuno to reconsider, with the January transfer window just around the corner.
