The Reds are back in Europe, and they look on course to have another decent season in the Premier League. With big signings like Mohamed Salah, they’re in a very good position at present.

A return to the top of the Premier League is a goal for Liverpool, as is regaining their European crown, and in time, there is no doubting that they will get back to where they belong.

However, for all of his qualities, Jurgen Klopp has undoubtedly made a few big mistakes whilst in charge of the Reds. Progress is coming at Anfield, and that’s key for the club, but unless Klopp changes his ways, they could find themselves falling short again.

The German needs to recognise the error of his ways and act upon his mistakes.

 Defensive Upgrades

Why has this issue not been sorted yet?

This has been a problem for as long as Jurgen Klopp has been in charge, but he still has yet to make the situation better.

If Liverpool fail in their goals this season, it will likely go down to failings at the back, and Klopp can only have himself to blame. There has been more than enough time to sort this out, and he has consistently failed to do so.

Dejan Lovren has been a big culprit, whilst Alberto Moreno has also often looked out of place. For all of their quality in the midfield and the attack, their defence is letting them down.

 Goalkeeper

This is another big problem for the German this season, and it’s entirely of his own doing.

He has yet to pick between Simon Mignolet and Loris Karius, and instead, he continues to pick between them, rotating each player most weeks.

A strong side always needs a player at the foot of the team that can consistently feature and pick up some steam in the role. Klopp’s decision not to make that happen is affecting both his present and future form, and it will continue to do so until this problem is resolved.

If neither player is good enough, then they need replacing. Yet again, this is something that has yet to happen.
