The Hammers will drastically look to improve on their abysmal campaign in the Premier League last term and fans in the tavern have high hopes with the calibre of names arriving at the London Stadium this summer.
Slaven Bilić has quite understandably worked his hardest in the transfer market and it wouldn’t at all surprise our West Ham-mad bar man if the manager develops more treats for supporters before the window closes in less than a fortnight’s time.
Especially with the traumatic thrashing they received in the opening fixture at Old Trafford, embarrassingly on the wrong end of a 4-0 result against a very determined Manchester United team.
Although now is the time for change and fans by the bar think West Ham United need to consider one or two loan spells to further strengthen this side, considering the likes of Everton had splashed the cash beforehand.
Here are TWO loan deals that the Hammers must look into completing, before the window slams shut, as soon as possible….
Loic Remy
With the injury-plagued striker of Andy Carroll, Slaven Bilić’s options up front are limited in terms of quality, which may mean the boss has to dive into the loan market to sort a temporary back-up choice to Chicarito.
Despite his lacklustre campaign on loan at Crystal Palace last year, Loïc Rémy knows his way around the Premier League and the tavern thinks this would be a tremendous piece of transfer business by the Hammers.
It is quite clear the Frenchman has no future at Chelsea but West Ham may not be willing to part with a horrendous amount of money on the 30 year-old, however, a loan move to the London Stadium could be considered a smart deal.
Andreas Pereira
The tavern’s landlord has made it obvious that this West Ham United squad drastically lacks creativity from the midfield and with that said, it looks to continue if the club don’t bring in someone to solve that issue.
Having searched abroad for the majority of the summer, the manager should be looking closer to home at Manchester United where Andreas Pereira has steadily impressed and his likely going to be a first-team figure for years to come at Old Trafford.
At the age of 21 years-old, Pereira is a suitable midfield maestro for the Hammers and our landlord reckons his loan time in Spain for the 2016/17 season has allowed him to rapidly develop; perhaps a temporary switch to the capital is the best way forward for all parties involved.
