Palace fans at the Tavern have had a terrible season.
It’s been a campaign they will want to forget, and questions are already circling on the players that are to blame for their poor performances.
Despite signing the likes of Mamadou Sakho on loan until the end of the season, Palace still lie solidly in contention to be relegated.
A 4-0 loss to relegation rivals Sunderland didn’t make life any easier for Big Sam and his men.
However the landlord of the Tavern reckons Palace still have enough of a depth in squad to stay above the dreaded drop.
Though fans all around the Tavern are wondering why such an expensive team with so much depth is underperforming.
This has lead to an inquest by the fans looking at the specific players who aren’t pulling their weight at Selhurst Park.
With that in mind here are TWO players that Crystal Palace fans are hoping leave the team in the summer….
Fraizer Campbell
Campbell joined Palace from Cardiff for £800k back in 2014 and is still yet to make an impact down at Selhurst Park.
Netting just five times in three seasons, means that Belgian Christian Benteke has already surpassed the one time England international in terms of goals scored.
With the likes of the Benteke brothers, Connor Wickham and Loic Remy [when fit] all in front of Campbell in the pecking order, Campbell is surplus to requirements.
He has been given his chances this season making 8 appearances for the Eagles and even scoring a goal.
Though Palace fans at the Tavern would welcome Campbell’s exit, freeing up the number 9 shirt.
Jordon Mutch
Mutch signed for Crystal Palace back in 2015 and has since failed to nail down a place in the first team.
Since Sam Allardyce has taken over the reign he has sent Mutch to Reading on loan, and Palace fans at the Tavern will hope the deal will become a permanent.
With Luka Milivojevic joining in January, Palace have already found a replacement for Mutch who was already being outcompeted for a place in the starting 11 by the likes of Yohan Cabaye, James McArthur and Joe Ledley.
Palace fans at the Tavern would feel it is best that Allardyce gets rid of Mutch in the summer as he has not helped the cause this season.
