Life under Jose Mourinho is starting to look like a healthy one for the Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern who are delighted about recent performances.
While winning a first Premier League title since Sir Alex Ferguson retired looks like a bridge too far right now, there’s little doubt the self-proclaimed ‘Special One’ is at least restoring some of the style to the ranks.
Clearly, there’s still a mightily long way to go in terms of doing that, though some astute additions could at least help him get to his goal a bit sooner than expected.
There’s also an awful lot of deadwood cluttering up his ranks, so the 53-year-old will be tasked with huge player changes across the next few months as aims for the very top of European football once again.
With that in mind, here’s the January transfer business the Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern want him to do.
IN: Victor Lindelof

Benfica defender Victor Lindelof has been strongly linked with a move to Old Trafford in recent months as Mourinho looks to bring in a top-class partner for Eric Bailly.
Neither Chris Smalling or Daley Blind have overly impressed, with the 22-year-old Swede one of the most promising centre-backs in Europe.
Strong in the air and fast across the ground, he’d be some signing for the Red Devils.
OUT: Ashley Young

Surely Ashley Young has no future?
Somehow remains a United player, despite having little to no impact on first-team affairs for about three years, the 31-year-old has more dynamic options ahead of him in every possible berth.
There’s thought to be big interest in him from all over the globe and the club should take the money and run.
IN: Nelson Semedo

The second Benfica player to be linked with a move to Old Trafford, perhaps Nelson Semedo could become the answer to United’s long-running question at right-back.
A wonderfully powerful full-back, he could be the natural heir to Antonio Valencia in that role, giving the club a huge attacking element with his marauding runs.
