2 players who could follow Emre Can out of Liverpool in January

Liverpool fans here in the Tavern are becoming increasingly worried over the recent claims and rumours made surrounding some of their stars.

Liverpool have been the one club at the base of all sorts of unimaginable transfer drama of late. Starting the season in a negative manner with the ridiculous option to go without the signature of a central defender, followed by the ongoing links between European giants and Brazilian Philippe Coutinho.

A new development in an Anfield transfer sagas has developed, as 23-year-old German international Emre Can has been linked with a move away from Anfield in January. With The Times reporting that one of his home countries’ giants – Borrusia Dortmund – are the latest to try and edge a transfer window exit for the Liverpool man.

Having joined the Reds from German side Bayern Leverkusen back in 2014, Can has been one of the rising stars for the team with his continuous hard work rate and creativity becoming increasingly important. Playing 98 times in what is his 4th season for the Merseyside faithful, its safe to say he’s become a regular in the side.

But in what is a squad packed full of central midfielders, Jurgen Klopp has had his work cut out in giving each player a certain amount of game time, with his strongest XI in the back of his mind. Due to recent games resulting in Emre Can taking up an unusual position on the substitutes bench, which can be mainly pinned on the rise in form from James Milner.

So with Can heavily linked to an exit, here’s a look at TWO players who could potentially follow him out of the door…

Philippe Coutinho

Could anyone look any less interested to play for Liverpool? The brilliant Brazilian has missed club action for a fairly lengthy period of time twice this season through injury, though somehow being fit enough to play for his country.

While one of the best attackers in the league, our local Kopites are getting really quite annoyed with the 25-year-old, who could actually be sacrificed in January. Indeed, the likes of Mo Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino form a wonderful attack, leading many of our punters to imagine life without Coutinho.

Danny Ings

The Reds striker has endured the most torrid of times with the club since joining from Burnley back in 2015. Having been at the club in what now would be his 3rd season with Liverpool, he’s only managed to enjoy 6 appearances for the club which just confirms exactly how difficult it has been for the 25-year-old.

When signing back in 2015, Brendan Rodgers saw a mass of potential in the forward but the luck of the draw just didn’t allow for him to implement it, as a reoccurring stretch of injuries hampered his progress.

But now finally back fully fit, Jurgen Klopp is surely looking to offload the of favour favor striker via the loan window, to gain some match fitness and playing time after such a long period of time out.

One team in particular that have become of interest to this potential business deal is the Hammers’ new man, David Moyes. due to The Sun reporting that he would love to bring Ings to the London Stadium in the form of a possible loan deal.

So Reds fans, thoughts?
