2 reasons why Liverpool must not let Lallana go to Juventus or Barcelona

Our Liverpool fans here in the Transfer Tavern reckon it’s time Jurgen Klopp gets the club’s wallet out and starts spending this month.

The Reds have really seen the hectic fixture list take it’s toll on their performances and small squad of late with them struggling to find what made them irresistible for the first half of the season.

Many feel, then, that they need to get some extra players in if they are to maintain their challenges on all fronts and our landlord reckons they need to too.

The news that Adam Lallana is being eyed by Juventus and Barcelona from The Times, then, is not being welcomed with them trying to hold things together in the face of a mountain of games.

Our landlord reckons Liverpool have to keep hold of him, then, and here are two reasons to explain exactly why…

In his prime

At 28-years-old Lallana is bang in his prime and is showing that with some great performances right now.

He’s been one of the Reds’ best players this season and so they really can’t afford to let him go in the midst of a title challenge. Lallana may feel it’s one of the last chances to move abroad and play for a big club on the continent but he looks well at home at Anfield now and should consider that too.

Key to Klopp’s plans

The midfielder really is central to the way Jurgen Klopp wants the Reds to play.

He presses and harasses from the central areas like few others do in the Liverpool side and that has led him to be in such great form. Many feel that Klopp and Lallana understand each other’s way of working better than most manager and player relationships do and the Reds cannot afford to let that go any time soon.
