Obviously, the Red Devils quite clearly need back up in that area of the pitch and bringing a player in of Chicarito’s experience in for the second half of the season may be a shrewd move on Mourinho’s part as he looks to round out the squad he has up at the Theatre of Dreams.
With Zlatan Ibrahimovic currently out injured again and Lukaku needing a back up so he has the option to be rested, Mourinho should be scouring Europe for strikers this January. A Back-Up
Chicarito is the perfect player to sit on the bench and come on to make the biggest impact when it’s needed. As many of our punters remember watching in his first spell at United, Hernandez created a reputation for himself for being a super-sub, changing a game with his deadly predatory instincts.
United have missed that in recent seasons. Having had himself and Ole Gunnar Solskjær in years gone by, both acted as the go-to player on the bench. Indeed, if Hernadez is willing to sit on the bench at United, he’s easily got another 10 goals in him still this season with better service provided to him all around.
Cheap Alternative
In today’s current transfer market, prices for quality players are somewhat inflated after the Neymar deal. With that in mind, while United look for a back up to Lukaku, a cheap and proven alternative just waits at West Ham in Hernandez.
United could possibly pick up the Mexican hit man for a fairly cheap price, much to the delight of Ed Woodward, we’re sure. With someone as dangerous as Hernandez for a snip, it could turn out to be one of the signings of the winter window.
