It’s been a long old season for Liverpool in the Premier League but the Kopites here in the Tavern will be delighted if boss Jurgen Klopp can lead the Reds to Champions League football come the end of the season.
It’s turning into a real battle for fourth place right now and with no silverware set for Anfield this season, the minimum some Reds fans want to see is Champions League qualification, which is definitely a fair enough demands.
It helps attract quality players to the club during the summer months and there’s one man our punters have been seriously impressed with this season that they believe should make the move to Merseyside.
The man in question? Hull City defender Andy Robertson.
Granted, he’s not a superstar name or the next Lionel Messi, but we’ve been seriously impressed with the Scotsman too this campaign.
So with that in mind, here’s 2 reasons why Klopp should definitely move for the defender this summmer…
He’s got time on his side

At just 23-years-old, Andy Robertson has bags of time to continue his development and become a truly top player.
Some people forget that he’s made close to 200 professional appearances already in his career, which is absolutely staggering for a player of his age. But what Liverpool will recieve if they bring him to the club is a man that is capable at this level already but with the right management, could be even better.
They need a more “natural” left-back

Anyone knocking James Milner deserves a tongue-lashing because the former Villa man has done a cracking job in at left-back for the Reds this season.
But moving forward, Klopp needs a natural player who is comfortable there. Moreno is unreliable, Milner isn’t natural so Robertson really does fit the bill.
There’s no gimmicks with the Scotsman- he’s good going forward, comfortable in defence and solid when needs be.
