Liverpool supporters have been making a lot of noise in the Transfer Tavern in the last few days after seeing their team thump Watford 5-0 at Anfield on Saturday to move up to third place in the Premier League table.
Jurgen Klopp’s men were the only side in the top eight of the division in action over the weekend due to FA Cup commitments, and they took full advantage to open up a seven-point lead over fifth place Chelsea in the race for Champions League qualification. And Mohamed Salah was again the man of the moment with a remarkable four goals in the triumph, with Roberto Firmino adding the other to secure a comprehensive victory for the Merseyside giants, and thus take them a step closer to sealing a top four finish come the end of the season.
Consequently, there have been many delighted Liverpudlians in the Tavern in recent times, several of whom are sincerely hoping that their side can maintain their impressive recent run of form for the rest of the campaign.
In the meantime though, there has been much for our resident Reds fans to discuss, not least recent comments from midfielder Emre Can regarding his future at the club.
The 24-year-old sees his contract expire at the end of the current campaign and speculation has been rife in recent times about where his next destination could be, with Italian giants Juventus heavily linked with a move.
And the Germany international has recently said that his qualities are ‘sufficient’ to feature for a ‘very big club next season’, in comments which has stimulated quite a response from Liverpool fans on Twitter.
And it’s fair to say that the 24-year-old’s comments haven’t gone down well with Reds supporters…
His average, clumsy, performances far outweigh his rare superb ones. Not sure he’ll develop in the way we want so I’m more than happy for him to move on.

If them Emre Can quotes floating about are true then I’m sorry but I want him nowhere near the team anymore this season!!! #LFC

Emre Can can do one.
Has just given this interview to Bild:
‘I have the self-confidence to say that my qualities are sufficient to play in a very big club next season.
‘My goal is to play a lot, more often, and to be a leader.’

If he wants to leave a club in the shape ours is in then more fool him.Leave Klopp and one of the best youngest squads around,go sit on the bench at Bayern or get your automatic serie A medal at Juve, hope you enjoy watching us and wondering what if I wasnt greedy and egotistical

Emre Can should never play for Liverpool again.

If he feels Liverpool is not a very big club then please show him the door!

If Emre Can doesn’t want to be here, don’t play him again
