The Reds have officially confirmed that Naby Keita will join the club next summer, with Jurgen Klopp finally getting his man after a summer of interest.
His arrival, though it won’t happen for another year, though it has still left the fans in the Transfer Tavern feeling very excited – and it appears as though the Liverpool players are looking forward to it too.
Jordan Henderson has been discussing that very topic, via the Independent, and has revealed his feelings on his future midfielder partner.
Henderson said: “If you play for top teams you are going to sign good players. I have seen Naby play quite a few times and he looks a top, top player”.
He added: “There have been a lot of transfer rumours over the summer and thankfully we ended up doing the business…I am sure the club are delighted to get him because he will be a real addition to the squad and will hopefully help us over the next few years”.
Though Henderson is likely to face competition for a starting berth from Keita, he appears up to the challenge. As he notes, Liverpool have really turned a corner under Jurgen Klopp, and there’s no doubting that they are amongst Europe’s best sides now.

Keita is a top signing, and a partnership with Jordan Henderson is almost certainly on the horizon.
The duo will combine to create magic in the heart of the midfield, with no doubting the quality that they will produce alongside one another.
