The Celtic fans in the Transfer Tavern are an optimistic bunch and there’s real thought that the Hoops can ensure another league title will be in the bag come the end of the season.
With former Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers now at the helm, the Hoops are looking to press on ahead of a potentially huge week in their history.
They had the first league Old-Firm match to come this weekend before a tantalising Champions League tie at the Nou Camp with Barcelona next week.
And whilst we know Rodgers has got terrific depth in his current Bhoys squad, we want to have a look behind the scenes at some of the rising stars of the Celtic academy.

Jack Aitchison
16-year-old striker Jack Aitchison is one of the most talked about youngsters in Celtic’s academy and there’s extremely good reason for that.
When youngsters are given their shot in the first-team, it’s all about taking the chances that come your way and for Aitchison, he did just that when he was thrown into the mix in May 2016, in a 7-0 win over Motherwell.
He became the youngest player to have ever represented the club in a professional match and made his debut count, scoring with his first touch to put home the seventh.
What a start- we’re expecting big things from this young man so you should get him signed up on FM too.
Calvin Miller
Sticking with the striking department, the next Hoops youngster we think has got a cracking future ahead of him is forward Calvin Miller.
The 18-year-old attacker put pen-to-paper on a new three-year-deal earlier this summer and it’s clear he’s a developing talent who is more than capable of breaking into the first team in the coming months.
Miller was also a huge part of the Celtic squad that won the SPFL Development League title without losing a single match this season last season.
Aidan Nesbitt
We’re finishing off our list with a midfielder, who goes by the name of Aidan Nesbitt.
He’s been sent on loan to Greenock Morton in the Scottish Championship as he continues his development but this much is clear, the box-to-box midfielder has a big future ahead of him.
He’s a sharp 19-year-old midfielder who enjoys getting forward and there are many Hoops fans already comparing him to Australian first-teamer Tom Rogic, who has been excellent over the past couple of seasons.
On 21 May 2015, Nesbitt scored a hat-trick in the 2015 SFA Youth Cup final against Rangers and this did little to harm his rising status in the Celtic academy.
A first-team place for Nesbitt might not be too far away and we think he’d make a cracking FM investment too.
