Leeds United have had a superb season and under manager Garry Monk, they’ve been restoring some serious pride at Elland Road, something their die-hard supporters here in the pub have been delighted about!
The Whites haven’t seriously challenged for the play-off places in years and despite being one of the bigger sides in the division over the past decade or so, they’ve not been able to seriously get among the promotion-chasers in the slightest.
But Garry Monk has transformed this Leeds team into a side that can win games on a budget and at times, a small squad too.
The Leeds punters here in the pub have been impressed with their sides’ resolve this campaign and firmly believe a place in the Premier League isn’t too far away in the slightest.
And with the summer rolling around in a couple of months, there’s still plenty of work to do at Elland Road if the Whites are to have success next season.
So with that in mind, here’s THREE Leeds transfer priorities that Monks imply must focus on this summer, that aren’t related to star-striker Chris Wood…
Getting rid of some of the deadwood

It’s firmly thought amongst Leeds fans here in the pub that there are some quality players in this current XI but for every good player, there’s a couple that simply drag the team down week-after-week.
The likes of Kalvin Phillips, Luke Murphy and Marcus Antonsson haven’t at all impressed at times this season and they’re all individuals that probably won’t be helping Leeds into the Premier League next season, if they don’t get promoted this time around.
Starting afresh is sometimes tough, but in the long-run , always a good thing.
Bringing in another striker

It’s been well documented all season that Chris Wood has been baring a lot of responsibility in the Leeds front-line, and Whites fans here in the pub know they need more going forward if they’re going to really be successful in coming seasons.
The New Zealand international has been banging in goals for fun, but the likes of Doukara and Antonsson really haven’t scored enough goals to help the cause.
Punters want another big-name striker in at Elland Road this summer and you can’t blame them in the slightest.
Bringing in Kyle Bartley on a permanent deal

Leeds fans at the bar have sung the praises of new-found hero Pontus Jansson all season but his centre-back partner Kyle Bartley has been just at good at times playing alongside him.
The on-loan Swansea man has really found his feet at Elland Road and he’s certainly the sort of player Monk should be sizing up on a permanent deal this summer.
As our landlord just said, why change something that isn’t fixed? Leeds’s defence has been superb at times.
