Since Jurgen Klopp’s arrival at Anfield, the Reds fans here in the Transfer Tavern have been loving life.

The former Borussia Dortmund manager is now in the hot-seat with many fans here in the Tavern expecting success to be delivered under the German.

For success to occur numerous things were needed to be addressed swiftly and that’s exactly what he done.

Last season the fight and hunger that was missing from Liverpool under Brendan Rodgers was quickly reinstalled, with Klopp’s appointment allowing them reach two cup finals in quick succession.

They may not have been able to get their hands on the Capital One Cup or the Europa League but it was the run in both competitions that saw Liverpool gain many plaudits – none more so than us here at the Tavern.

Now this season, after an impressive start, it’s clear to see Klopp is getting to grips with things in the Premier League.

Pace

With the influx of pace into the side, Liverpool are now looking more like a Jurgen Klopp side.

At Borussia Dortmund Klopp had pace and agility in every corner of his side.

Now with the signing of Sadio Mané, Liverpool now look a team capable of hurting teams at any stage of a game.

Against teams who like to sit back and await to be attacked by big sides, Liverpool have struggled to unlock the door.

But our regulars feel that Mané now adds another dimension to Liverpool who are struggling so desperately against the lower table sides.

Sale of dead-weight

Since Liverpool’s title challenge in 2013/2014 Liverpool have failed to invest properly into the side when key players have been sold.

Luis Suarez was sold to Barcelona in 2014 and Liverpool spent atrociously with signings such as Rickie Lambert along with others.

Now under Jurgen Klopp he was quick to identify who were the weak links in the squad and replace them with players who were more adaptable to his own team.

So far the season has kicked-off with a positive start for Liverpool with many new signings having hit the ground running.

Top players performing

For a number of seasons now, Liverpool have been carrying far too many passengers at the club but this season it looks as though everyone has pitching in for the one cause.

Simon Mignolet looks a different player for the Merseyside club after Klopp invested in a new goalkeeper, Loris Karius, which has the Belgian performing at his best.

If Liverpool can keep their top stars like Roberto Firmino competing at the highest level, our locals feel we may see a success story for Liverpool at the end of the season!
