Foxes fans and United supporters have been mingling quite nicely at bar of the Football Transfer Tavern this evening, ahead of their crunch contest on Sunday afternoon.

As Community Shield’s go, it’s going to be an occasion of experience playing against newcomer as Manchester United and Leicester City take to the Wembley turf to contest this years’ trophy.

The contest, which will take place this Sunday infront of a packed Wembley crowd, will see unlikely title winners Leicester City attempt to win their first silverware of the season, in a campaign that will also see them compete in the Champions League for the first time.

As for Manchester United, it will be Jose Mourinho’s first significant appearance as Red Devils manager on the big stage and he will want to get off to a good start in the hotseat.

So with the game only a couple of days away, what can we expect from the first big game of the season?

Here’s THREE things to look out for……

United making a winning start

Jose’s Community Shield record makes for pretty grim reading- he won the trophy only once in four attempts during his tenure at Chelsea and he will want to improve that statistic on Sunday.

But more than the figures, its the chance to show not just United fans but the world just how good the side he has built can really be.

The likes of Ibrahimovic, Bailly and Mkhitaryan will all get the chance to show English supporters what they can do and they will want to start the season with a win.

Ahmed Musa impressing once again

Lets face it- Ahmed Musa was seriously good for Leicester City against Barcelona on Wednesday evening.

The Foxes may have lost the game 4-2 but Musa’s half-time addition really changed the game in his sides’ favour.

His pace caused some serious problems for Luis Enrique’s side and he showed the world why Leicester parted with so much money to bring him to England.

Imagine Musa playing on the shoulder of the last United defender on Sunday, exploiting their defence with his lightning pace and good finishing.

Both teams playing their strongest teams

Despite the Community Shield not necessarily being the most competitive of grand-stand events, expect both sides to go out all guns blazing on the day.

Both United and Leicester will want to showcase their best players to the world and get that last bit of match fitness in before the season officially begins next weekend.

It should prove to be an exciting occasion for both sets of supporters who will want to see their side lift the trophy ahead of the big kick off in only eight days time.
