There have been some great managers coming to the Premier League this season, but the Red Devils fans here at the Football Transfer Tavern insist that Jose Mourinho is the best of the bunch.
Punters are struggling to predict what exactly will happen for Man United and where they will finish due to the way in which last season panned out and the fact that there are so many high calibre new faces in the league.
The Landlord can’t say exactly what is going to happen, but he can tell you three things that you can expect from the Red Devils this season under their new manager Jose Mourinho. Do you agree that these THREE things will be evident at Old Trafford and where do you think it will get them in the league?
Defensive Solidity

Jose Mourinho’s first focus when managing is often to make sure that his teams are strong and organised defensively. Last season there were plenty of cracks in the Man United defence to be exploited by the opposition, but that won’t be the case under The Special One.
The Portuguese manager will be working on the training ground to make sure everyone is working as a defensive unit and the acquisition of Eric Bailly will also help.
Attacking Flair

Under Louis Van Gaal, Man United’s attacks looked regimented and players sometimes appeared afraid to leave a certain position. However, Red Devils’ fans can expect their attackers to be let off of the leash by Mourinho.
This freedom will allow the likes of Martial, Ibrahimovic and Rashford to run riot and hurt opposition defences. Expect to see plenty more goals at Old Trafford this season and a lot of exciting attacking play.
Strong Mentality

This will be the case from the press conference to the pitch. Mourinho has always been a user of mind games and with the influx of top levels managers coming to the Premier League he is likely to use them to his advantage again.
He is also good at taking the pressure off of his players by putting it onto himself, which will help his men to go out onto the pitch and play with confidence and challenge for top silverware this season.
United fans, what do you make of this? What else will Mourinho bring to you side? Let us know in the comments below…
