Tottenham’s good form this season continued at the weekend as Mauricio Pochettino’s side beat Middlesborough 2-1, to record a 3rd consecutive Premier League victory to take them up to second in the table.
Besides Manchester City, the Lilywhites are the only other unbeaten team in the league, and have begun this season much in the same vein as they played for the most part of last – bar the last few games of course – and once again look a side who can amount a real title challenge and bring home the Premier League crown for the first time in the club’s history.
While the performances haven’t quite matched those of the previous season, things are definitely on the up as Dele Alli and Co. begin to look stronger as each week goes on and the new boys such as Vincent Janssen and Victor Wanyama begin to settle into their new club.
Perhaps most impressive was a youthful Tottenham side’s dismantling of Gillingham in a 5-0 victory in the EFL Cup, which boasted plenty of talent for both Tottenham and potentially England’s future.
