Celtic lost against Inter Milan in International Cup in the week, but that will have little importance as new boss Brendan Rodgers looks to consolidate his side for their upcoming Scottish Premier League campaign.

With Champions League qualifying games still to play, getting into the group stages still remain an absolute priority for Hoops management and supporters alike.

Hapoel Be’er Sheva F.C are next up for the Scottish giants, with the Israeli outfit travelling to Celtic Park for the first leg of the Champions League qualifier.

As we’ve seen in previous rounds, Brendan Rodgers’ hasn’t picked his squad likely for these games, despite having a busy league schedule ahead.

So, with that in mind, who can we expect to see feature for the Hoops in the game against Sheva?

Here’s our lineup that can comfortably overcome the Israeli’s on Wednesday evening…..

Craig Gordon

Despite the signing of Dorus De Vries from Nottingham Forest last week, expect former Sunderland man Craig Gordon to keep his place between the sticks at Celtic Park for the qualifier.

Has plenty of experience at this level and on paper, is Celtic’ number one keeper.

RB: Kieran Tierney

Having truly broken into the first-team last season, expect to see a lot of 19-year-old Tierney this season, who has become a real fans favourite.

He’s quick, reads the game well and is very solid for such a young player. Champions League nights will be a great experience for him in his development.

CB: Kolo Toure

Famous for “that” chant that swept around the Premier League a couple of years ago, Kolo Toure signed his former player earlier this summer and he will slot in again for the game against Sheva.

Much like Gordon, he’s got bags of experience and will provide leadership from the heart of the defence.

CB: Eoghan O’Connell

Luckily for the former Cork youngster, injuries to Dedryck Boyata, Erik Sviatchenko and Jozo Simunovic mean he will most likely start start the game again, having played in the 5-0 demolition of Motherwell last week.

Looked sound enough and didn’t seem out of his depth but this is entirely different and O’Connell will need to firm-up for the crunch tie.

LB: Mikael Lustig

Tough choice between Lustig and Izaguirre but we’ve gone with the Swede on this ocassion.

Both have plenty of Champions League experience but Lustig seems to be the preferred left-back option for Rodgers, who will play a strong team on Wednesday evening.

CDM: Scott Brown

Celtic’s captain Scott Brown will take the armband for this game as he attempts to lead them into the group stages of the Champions League.

He’s done all this before but you get the feeling that this could be his time to shine as Rodgers aims to get his side past the groups and into the knockouts.

Is working with one of the best Celtic squads we’ve seen in years.

CDM: Stefan Johansen

Is going into his fourth year at Celtic now and offers such reliability in the middle of the park. His distribution is fantastic and alongside the defensive-minded Brown, the Hoops have a really dynamic midfield duo.

His experience will be vital in helping some of the younger players in this team deal with the intimidating Champions League experience.

RM/RW: James Forrest

Has been used heavily in Celtic-s big pre-season campaign and we expect Scotland winger James Forrest to start this one at Celtic Park.

He’s a pacy customer and he will be looking to target the Sheva full-backs as early on as possible.

CAM/CF: Tom Rogic

The Australian forward signed a new three-year deal with the Hoops this summer and will be looking to repay the faith shown in him by new boss Brendan Rodgers.

Has been a mainstay in the side for a couple of seasons now and he’ll want to shine in this game as Celtic look to get through to the next stage f the competition.

LM/LW: Scott Sinclair

Sinclair will start this game and aim to do as well as he did in Celtic’s 5-0 thrashing of Motherwell. Scored on his competitive debut and will be a big part of the Hoops team going forward, if he can find some form.

Will want to forget his spell at Villa as quick as possible and he has a great chance to shine at Celtic.

ST: Moussa Dembele

More than deserves to be given the nod for this one after taking Celtic through against Astana.

His stoppage-time penalty gave Celtic the win and whilst on paper, Lee Griffiths might be the first choice striker, Rodgers should reward the young Frenchman with a start on Wednesday.

Pacy and knows where the goal is too.
