It’s a good time to be a Bhoy right now, as the club gears up for its return to the Champions League proper on Tuesday night.
Few fixtures are bigger than this one.
The Scottish champions travel to the Camp Nou to take on Barcelona, in a game that makes the mouth water even for neutrals.
Perhaps the most famous moment of recent Hoops memory in Europe’s elite competition came against the Blaugrana when Tony Watt scored the winner at Celtic Park.
Still, that result will count for little tomorrow, with the Spanish champions licking their wounds following a shock loss to Alaves on the weekend.
While their recent 1-2 defeat to a newly promoted side is encouraging for Brendan Rodgers , there’s little doubt the Catalans will come back firing on all cylinders.

GK: Dorus De Vries
Rarely called upon on the weekend, Dorus De Vries will be tasked with keeping out the likes of Neymar, Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez.
RB: Mikael Lustig
The Swede will need on top form and hold his position tomorrow night, though there are few better options currently available to Rodgers in this berth.
CB: Kolo Toure
Having so far allayed fears he was completely passed it, Kolo Toure is one of few in this side to have experience at this high level.
Was excellent for Liverpool against Real Madrid a few seasons ago. A similar performance needed.
CB: Erik Sviatchenko
Very steady on the weekend, the 24-year-old’s burgeoning partnership with the aforementioned Ivorian is looking strong.
LB: Kieran Tierney
A huge night for the young Scotland international, Kieran Tierney can showcase himself as one of the most promising young defenders in Europe with a big performance in Spain.
CDM: Scott Brown
Rejuvenated following the arrival of Rodgers, the Hoops captain was at his best against the old enemy.
Should shake off a fitness problem to make the game and his nous in the centre of the park will be crucial.
CDM: Nir Bitton
Not as rambunctious as the aforementioned ‘Broony’, though Nir Bitton’s steady play in the engine room will be vital when the Scots need to keep possession amid a Barcelona siege.
RAM: James Forrest
Brought in from the cold by Rodgers, Forrest’s pace as an out-ball will be a threat when the Blaugrana pour forward.
Will certainly give the home side something to think about.
CAM: Tom Rogic
As the two wingers either side of the Australian race forward, Rogic can pick up positions between defence and midfield in Barcelona’s system.
A threat from distance, he offers something different in a searing frontline.
LAM: Scott Sinclair
A huge night for the former Manchester City man, who looks like returning to the sort of form that made him such a hot property in the first pace.
Much like Forrest on the other flank, his gut-busting pace will surely be the asset Celtic play to most tomorrow night.
After his clinical finish on the weekend, the 27-year-old is riding the crest of a wave.
ST: Moussa Dembele
After a sensational hat-trick against Rangers, the Frenchman has marked his place in the absence of Leigh Griffiths.
While pitting his wits against Barcelona will be a huge test for the 20-year-old, he showed little fear during the last time out.
It’s not hard to imagine the former Fulham ace playing for the Blaugrana someday.
