The Palace faithful are in the Transfer Tavern debating over who should start in their opening fixture against Huddersfield on Saturday.
A new Premier League season is finally rearing its head again and all the action is set to kick-off next weekend.
One of the Saturday fixtures will see Crystal Palace beginning their 2017/18 campaign playing hosts to Premier League new boys, Huddersfield.
David Wagner has had a busy summer transfer window, bringing in a host of new players as he looks towards keeping Huddersfield in the top flight come the end of the season.
Despite all of the transfers, Frank de Boer couldn’t have wished for an easier start, on paper, to his managerial career at Selhurst Park.
De Boer will want to get the new season off to a winning start so he’ll have to put his best foot forward on the opening day to ensure that happens.
With that being said, here is the starting 11 De Boer must go with to beat Huddersfield on Saturday….
Wayne Hennessey
Wayne Hennessey is the best keeper Palace have within their ranks at the moment.
That isn’t necessarily a good thing but if it’s all they’ve got then De Boer will have to either live with it or sign someone new and fast.
Timothy Fosu-Mensah
Reports have revealed that Timothy Fosu-Mensah is having a medical at Crystal Palace ahead of a season-long loan move from Manchester United.
He can play in a host of positions including centre back, right back, left back and defensive mid but our landlord has put him down as a right back against Huddersfield.
Not his best position but he can be used well there.
Jairo Riedewald

He’s small and quick, being able to dart in and out of tight situations to get to the byline and find the big man Benteke with a cross.
Palace are getting the best out of him after a failed stint at United a few years ago and he has since evolved into one of the clubs best players.
