£45M Bid In

According to Mirror Football Chelsea have made an astonishing £45m bid for Palermo playmaker Javier Pastore.

The claims that the mega rich Londoners are looking to prize the Argentine hot shot away from Italy have been made by Palermo president Maurizio Zamperini.

He also pointed out “Pastore is a phenomenal player and there are three or four clubs interested in him. I am a businessman and I will not lose my cool, but it is clear that clubs who want Pastore must have the economic power to submit a proposal.

It is believed Chelsea have been keeping a close eye on the 22 year old for the past few months, but with the introduction of new boss Villas-Boas, there is no guarantee that Pastore is part of HIS future plans for the blues, as was highlighted by Zamperini as he went on to say…

“Chelsea are one of the clubs concerned, but we have to wait to see what Villas-Boas, the new coach, decides.

Well I’m confused… Have they made a bid or haven’t they? Because by this revelation that the new gaffer at the Bridge is undecided, I’m sure he wouldn’t have given the go ahead for a £45m player he’s unsure of.

The 6ft 1” superstar would certainly be a great addition to the club as they look to bring in new talent, and prepare to compete on all four fronts for silverware as we approach August.

The Argentine International has fantastic visionary on the ball and he is known for picking out a pass that will slice any back four open, and his ability creates space for others. He has also shown his composure in front of goal and last campaign hit the back of net 14 times finishing the season his strongest yet.

He is certainly a hot prospect and it looks highly unlikely Palermo will hang on to their prized asset this summer.  Juventus and Napoli are believed to admire the young talent but Zamperini admitted

“I would love him to stay in Italy, but it is very unlikely.”

Surely if the money is available for the Villa-Boas he wouldn’t turn down bringing him to the Premiership, but as far as a £45m bid has been made… I think this is just fiction in Zamperini’s head for the time being, we shall see

I say (use) to love, I’m 100% sure i still would love it... The greatest player ever to grace the premiership is Thierry Henry in my book. Football aside, only fools and horses it is....
