Former Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers appears to be a man in demand, with links to both former club Swansea and Scottish giants Celtic.
The Bhoys recently announced that manager Ronny Deila would be leaving, spinning the proverbial rumour mill into overdrive North of the Border as you can well imagine.
David Moyes, Nigel Pearson and Paul Lambert have all been linked with the job, though the Hoops are said to have made a last ditch attempt for the ex-Watford man as a return to Wales continues to be suggested.
While it remains unclear as to where his future lies, the 43-year old would have quite the job on his hands at Parkhead should he ultimately take over.
Somehow, the Bhoys have managed to stagnate in the absence of their great rivals Rangers. That may sound ridiculous considering they are closing on five consecutive league titles, but their squad is now comprised of players who’ve taken their foot off the pedal.
Before the Northern Irishman can even hope to bring in big name signings, he must rid the squad of its deadwood.

Efe Ambrose
There’s no doubt Efe Ambrose was a popular figure amongst the club’s support, but this season appears to have been a bridge too far for the Nigerian.
Far too error prone when it counts, and though Rodgers has never been known to construct a rock solid defence, will surely want rid of the 27-year old upon his arrival.
Craig Gordon
Though he’s still a fine shot stopper on his day, surely the Hoops will be looking for an upgrade on Craig Gordon should they truly harbour aspirations of moving forward.
The 32-year old, like many others, hasn’t been great this term and should be left behind in the dust as the club moves forward.
Stefan Johansen
Indicative of the Ronny Deila era, like Gordon, Stefan Johansen has been a huge disappointment this term.
Last year’s Player of the Year has struggled to replicate his form and often it appears as if his heart isn’t fully in it.
With just a year to go on his deal, it seems as if the Norwegian will be sold while the Bhoys can recoup some of the £2m they spent on him.
Scott Brown
Scott Brown, despite being club captain, has lost some of his trademark combativeness as the team has slowed down in the absence of their old foe.
More and more, this summer feels like a pivotal summer for the Hoops. They must press ahead and get back into the Champions League, as well as fend off the growing threat of Rangers.
In order to do so, they’d be well advised to cut the former Hibs man loose in order to truly freshen things up.
Mikael Lustig
Unfortunately, Saidy Janko’s season has been blighted by injury, meaning the club have had to rely on Mikael Lustig more than they should have done.
The Swede is another whose contract is nearing its final year and despite having proved a relatively stoic servant, should be sold while he still commands a fee.
