Newcastle United fans here in the Football Transfer Tavern are abandoning their game of darts and looking over to our bar and landlord as a conversation has been started about just who they could sign before the transfer window closes.
As one of our punters notes, there is huge expectation at St. James’ Park this term and we certainly think that the Magpies need to bring in a couple more players in order to challenge for the top ten – and potentially even more than that – with a European place in their sights.
With that in mind, we have come up with five players we think Alan Pardew needs to ask Mike Ashley to put his hand in his pocket for and get in those famous black and white stripes.
