Manchester United are a proud club with strong traditions in England and European football, they have fans all across the globe and are one of the biggest sides on the planet.
Our landlord at the Transfer Tavern enjoys the visit of United fans when they visit the bar and he engaged a few in a conversation recently about Manchester United’s lack of success in recent years in the transfer market.
Our resident fans had plenty to say upon the subject and indeed pointed out several members of the current United team, that they feel are not worthy of being at their club and should never of been signed by the Old Trafford club.
Our landlord decided he should press the issue to see which members of the squad they were referring too.
They preceded in giving The Transfer Tavern landlord a list of FIVE players they feel should never of been signed by United.

Marouane Fellaini

Every United fan regrets singning this player and many pundits still marvel that he makes it either into the starting line up or comes off the bench, as his precise role and benefit to the side is a mystery.
The extortionate fee paid still irks many united fans and what did they get for their £27.5 million? In truth a nothing much more than walking yellow card.
Fellaini will go down as one of United’s worst every singings.
Bastian Schweinsteiger

Bayern Munich legend joined United in the summer to much fan fare, but Manchester United and their fans have yet to see the best from the 31-year-old midfielder.
The problem is his best days are behind him and United should of asked themselves in the summer why Bayern were willing to let this influential player go?
United signed this player at least three years too late and he cannot keep pace with the demands of the Premier League.
Ashley Young

One of those players that our Transfer Tavern landlord thought would be an absolute club legend when he signed in 2011. Unfortunately he is one of those players that frustrates he has immense amounts of talent yet uses it on fleeting occasions.
The winger has just 10 goals in four years and whilst he may have escaped a lot of ridicule from United fans, he has been a disappointment since arriving from Aston Villa.
Memphis Depay

An outstanding player with immeasurable amount of talent at his disposal he could take United back to a form of glory.
The problem is his attitude, as he thinks since arriving at United he has made it, believes that things will just happen and he should be in the team no matter how well he trains.
As long as he’s got his endorsements he will believe blindly that he is the man. Ferguson would not have let this attitude anywhere near one of his dressing rooms.
Marcos Rojo

The Argentine defender may have been a little unlucky with injury since joining Manchester United, having only managed eleven games for United this season.
However, the 25-year-old central defender cost a massive £16million from Sporting Lisbon, which is a lot for such a defender and United haven’t got too much bak from their investment.
He was not overly impressive when playing for the Reds and although they only lost one game, they were playing extremely defensively because of their problems at the back.
