Liverpool are set to announce their third signing under Jurgen Klopp by wrapping up a deal for Mainz goalkeeper Loris Karius, and our Liverpool fans here in the Transfer Tavern are buzzing!
Karius is set to join Joel Matip and Mario Grujic at Anfield this summer in a deal worth £4.7 million as the German manager continues to implement his own style on Merseyside.
The signing will add depth to an area of the field that Liverpool are inadequately equipped in, with Simon Mignolet being challenged – and rather meekly – only by Adam Bogdan this season for the number one jersey.
The Mainz man arrives with plenty of experience under his belt, having made over 100 Bundesliga appearances despite only being 22.
Having also spent time in the Youth ranks at Manchester City, Karius also can boast having knowledge of the English game, and hence the transition to the Premier League could be seamless.
With the season over, Klopp can now really begin to make his mark at Anfield by bringing in the right players this summer to bolster Liverpool’s chance of a top four finish next season.

Leroy Sane

Chilwell is seen as one of England’s brightest young talents, and despite having just won the Premier League with Leicester City, will struggle for game time in behind the more experience Christian Fuchs.
Yacine Brahimi
Mesmeric dribbler Brahimi has been heavily linked with a move to Anfield, following his impressive season in Portugal.
The Algeria and Porto winger had a terrific first half of the season, but has dropped off somewhat in the latter stages, with many putting it down to the 26-year-old’s attitude problem.
It could be a bargain for Klopp if he is able to whip Brahimi into shape.
