Leicester City have been the Premier League’s surprise package so far this season, leading to many of their supporters spending many a night sipping away the night in the Transfer Tavern.
Claudio Ranieri has worked wonders at the King Power Stadium and has left the Foxes dreaming of European football for the first time in many years.
With the January transfer window now open, the Leicester boss will cast an eager eye towards the market as he searches for players who would guarantee the team a European qualification place.
It has already been a season to remember for the Foxes supporters here in the Tavern, but here we take a look at FIVE players who would go a long way to cementing their place in the top six of the Premier League.
The punters here inside the Football Transfer Tavern have selected FIVE players that will undoubtedly guarantee European football for the flying Foxes…..

Charlie Austin

Austin is a sought-after striker with several clubs alerted to his availability during the January transfer window.
City were reluctant to part with the £15 million asking price in the summer but at a cut-down fee they may decide to go back in for the ex-Burnley man.
His 18-goal haul last season proved that he knew where the back of the net was and with Leicester drying up in front of goal of late, Austin could be just the tonic they need.
George Thorne

The Derby County midfielder has been heavily linked with the Premier League, and few would back against him waiting to see if the Rams can complete their promotion mission first.
That said, a move to Leicester and the possibility of European football in six months or so time, could be enough to persuade even the most loyal of players.
Thorne would fit perfectly into Leicester’s style of play, although the rivalry between the Foxes and Derby County could hinder any potential move.
Nigel de Jong

The AC Milan midfielder would be a real coup for the East Midlands-based outfit and would send out a real statement of intent.
Given that the combative player is now 31-years-old and down the pecking order at the Italian giants, Leicester could get the Dutchman on a cut price deal.
A figure of £2 million has been touted here in the Taverm and the transfer is a real possibility at the moment, with the ex-Manchester City man potentially keen on joining the Foxes.
The real possibility of playing European football next season, will now enable Leicester to attract players of de Jong’s quality.
Vincent Aboubakar

The Cameroon international has netted 11 times for his club side Porto this season although the Foxes are said to be preparing an £11 million bid for the forward.
The 23-year-old powerful striker would offer Leicester something different in attack and would be a significant signing for any Premier League team.
The Foxes were interested in signing the striker back in 2014 following their return to the top flight, although they missed out to the Portuguese giants back then.
Andros Townsend

The Tottenham Hotspur winger is destined to leave Spurs during this transfer window and why not Leicester City.
Leicester have a squad that is still relatively short on several years playing Premier League football, but the winger would offer them just that.
Townsend’s talent cannot be questioned, he simply needs some guidance once again and Ranieri’s style of management could really get the best out of the England international.
Hardly a massive name but he would still be a shrewd signing for Leicester nonetheless.
