Tottenham suffered a blow in midweek in their pursuit of a top four finish, going down to a 3-2 defeat to Liverpool at Anfield.
In a game that proved a superb advert for the Premier League, Maurico Pochettino’s side were unlucky to lose to a winning goal from Mario Balotelli of all people.
Still, there were plenty of positives to take from the performance and certainly from the past six weeks.
Pochettino has got his side playing some decent football whilst Harry Kane is scoring goals for fun.
The 21-year-old is now on 23 goals for the season in all competitions and is looking very much the in-form striker in the country.
The problem for Tottenham is the way in which they are so dependent on Kane for goals with Emmanuel Adebayor and Roberto Soldado contributing very little.
The Spaniard in particular has struggled for goals during his Tottenham career and looks set to leave the club at the end of the season.

Jackson Martinez
The FC Porto striker is actively seeking a move to the Premier League with the player’s agent revealing he is likely to leave Estadio do Dragao in the summer.
The 28-year-old has established himself as one of the top strikers in Europe during his time in Portugal with an average of a better than a goal every two games.
Porto are said to be looking at a fee of around £30 million for his services but Tottenham will look to negotiate a cheaper fee at the end of the season given the Colombian international is set to turn 29 this year.
Paco Alcacer
The Spaniard is one of the most exciting young prospects in La Liga and has already earned call ups to the Spanish national side.
Tottenham have been linked with a £15 million move for the 21-year-old who has ironically replaced Roberto Soldado at the Mestalla since his move to White Hart Lane.
Valencia have been linked with a move that would see their former captain return, so perhaps a swap deal could be negotiated in the summer.
Danny Ings
The Burnley striker is out of contract in the summer and has started to catch the attention of top Premier League clubs with his performances.
Tottenham were linked in the summer having seen the 22-year-old fire 21 goals in the Championship to help Sean Dyche’s men to the Premier League last term.
He has an impressive nine Premier League goals to his name so far this season but Tottenham will have to fight off reported interest from Liverpool to secure his signature.
Fernando Llorente
The tall Spanish target man was heavily linked with Tottenham prior to joining Juventus from Athletic Bilbao.
The move to Turin has not been as successful as Llorente would have been hoping for as he currently sits behind Carlos Tevez and Alvaro Morata in the attacking pecking order.
That has seen him linked with a summer move away with Tottenham reportedly ready to reignite their interest in the Spanish international with Juventus said to be willing to sell for the right price.
Saido Berahino
The West Bromwich Albion striker has been one of the standout young strikers of the season with 15 goals to his name in all competitions.
Berahino has angered those at The Hawthorns recently however, having suggested in an interview that he is looking to move onto bigger things to develop his career.
Tony Pulis recently dropped him from the starting line-up with reports suggesting the Baggies will sell him for offers of £15 million plus in the summer.
That will interest Tottenham who have been strongly linked with the England Under-21 international star.
