Our local Spurs punters in the Transfer Tavern are already looking ahead to 2016/17 with excitement.
The season just gone saw a number of positives emerge from their young team as they almost won the Premier League title.
Tottenham have a squad now that’s full of energy and skill and with plenty of years ahead of it to become a formidable force.
Champions League football returns to White Hart Lane too for next season, and this is sure to allow Mauricio Pochettino a bit more room to manoeuvre in the transfer market.
Tottenham will need to make sure they get their acquisitions right if they want to improve on their most recent campaign with the likes of both Manchester clubs, Chelsea and Liverpool all looking to rebuild.
Meanwhile, Arsenal will no doubt be contenders again and Leicester cannot be ruled out.
Spurs might feel a place to strengthen in the window is up top. Harry Kane is Spurs only reliable striker for goals and this could be an issue if he gets injured.
Kane is arguably what you’d call an old fashioned centre forward and perhaps needs some fast players to help compliment his talent.
Kane is a fantastic forward but our landlord here in the Transfer Tavern thinks these FIVE speed demons could help kick the Lilywhites’ frontline up a gear…..

Breel Embolo
Spurs are rumoured to be interested in the Basel man and his club have hinted he will probably be on his way this Summer too.
The Cameroon born Swiss international can play down the right or through the middle in the final third and at the age of 19-years-old has plenty of time to grow with the north London club should he make a move.
Ten goals and seven assists in 27 Swiss Super League games are also eye-catching stats.
Raheem Sterling
Sterling has had a bit of a tough time at Manchester City in his first season at the club.
Joining from Liverpool, the young Englishman was expected to go on and fulfil the potential he highlighted at Anfield but has so far missed those heights.
A player with great ability though, it could just be a confidence thing, but if Pep Guardiola decides he’s surplus to requirements at the club a fresh start at Tottenham might be just what his career needs.
Luciano Narsingh
The PSV player was a huge part of why the club won the Eredivisie from under the noses of rivals Ajax last season.
Eight goals and six assists in 30 appearances speak volumes for a man who likes to play as a wide forward, and would also mean he’d go down a storm at the Lane.
Has international experience to with the Netherlands and is coming into his prime at 25 – he’s one Pochettino should consider.
Juan Cuadrado
This might cause a bit of controversy here in the Transfer Tavern what with the South American’s Chelsea ties.
Cuadrado didn’t hit the ground running once he’d signed for the Blues and was duly shipped out to Italian giants Juventus.
He has however reminded his critics of what a good player he is in Turin, being a key part of their Serie A win and if Spurs fans can over look his Chelsea connection and the west Londoners don’t want him, there’s no reason why this one shouldn’t work.
Lucas Moura
The Brazilian’s career has been of interest for many since a young age.
After sealing a deal with PSG Moura quickly became an integral part of the sides’ stranglehold of Ligue 1 and has enjoyed a great campaign this year in the French capital.
Nine goals and four assists in 36 appearances show he makes an important contribution, and if Spurs want to establish themselves in Europe, this is the kind of the player they need to be buying.
