Marcus Rashford has come out of nowhere this season to be one of Manchester United’s heroes in big matches – and the United supporting punters here in the Tavern absolutely love the man!
After the 18-year-old’s two-goal performance in the Europa League, it’s been nothing but success.
Since that time he’s scored four in the Premier League and the opener in last week’s FA Cup quarter final replay at West Ham.
He’s proven himself as a great finisher, but he does have some weaknesses and would fare well pair with a big body up top.
With Mourinho expected to take over at United this summer, there is likely to be some new faces on the pitch at Old Trafford, and probably a new scoring threat.
Here’s a look at FIVE strikers Mourinho should pursue to play up top with Marcus Rashford……..

Zlatan Ibrahimovic
He’s the obvious pick for Mourinho to target.
Zlatan’s gone on record saying that the only thing stopping him from signing with the Red Devils is Louis Van Gaal’s presence.
His size an ability to win 50/50 headers would fare well with a guy like Rashford.
The Sweden International is reaching the latter stages of his playing career but he certainly still has a lot to offer!
Gonzalo Higuain
Mourinho recently reportedly told PSG that he will join United this summer and that a deal for Gonzalo Higuain is all but wrapped up.
The deal for the 32-goal scorer from Napoli is reportedly worth £70m.
The 28-year-old Argentinian could be the perfect mentor to the younger Rashford.
Harry Kane
While his allegiance is to Spurs, when the Red Devils start calling it’s hard to turn them down.
If Mourinho were to land Kane, United would possibly have the future of English football at Old Trafford, and a pair of strikers for years to come.
Our punters here in the Tavern thinks Kane and Rashford would be an incredibly prolific partnership up front for the Red Devils!
Romelu Lukaku
The Belgian has said he wouldn’t mind a reunion with Mourinho, and his fast paced, assertive style of play and excellent dribbling would suit well with Rashford’s finishing abilities.
Lukaku could ultimately hold up the ball well for Rashford, and help give the young Englishman ammunition to score even more next season!
Mario Balotelli
The wild card of the bunch, don’t put it past Balotelli to make a Manchester return in red instead of sky blue.
AC Milan has already said they will not keep the striker after his loan is up after this season.
If United are looking to buy, they could get the Italian forward for pretty cheap at the moment. Also, who wouldn’t want to see his antics in the Premier League again?
