If reports that have reached the Football Transfer Tavern are to be believed, David Moyes had identified Atletico Madrid midfielder Koke as his number one January transfer target.
The Spanish midfielder has enjoyed an excellent first half of the season in La Liga, proving an integral part of the Atletico side that have climbed level on points with Barcelona at the top of the table, and have cruised through to the last 16 of the Champions League.
Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone has no desire to sell Koke – a product of the Atletico youth system – but reports from Spain and across Europe suggest a £30million offer from Manchester United will prove too tempting to turn down.
Koke is a midfielder with skill, craft, superb ability from dead balls, and the ability to score goals and most notably provide assists – basically the ideal candidate to breath new life into Manchester United’s struggling midfield.
