£6M Bid Made

Ex England supremo, part time Dutchman and Wolfsburg manager Steve McClaren has offered £6m for Liverpool flop Milan Jovanovic.

Schteve of course sold Edin Dzeko to Manchester City for £27m last week. Which while it will give him paper cuts from counting all that glorious money, it also gives him a gap to plug on his teamsheet.

McClaren has targeted Liverpool’s Jovanovic, a player who has failed to make a decent impression at Anfield since joining on a free transfer in the summer.

King Kenny is a quality manager and as I have expressed before it’s my belief that his first desire will be to see what he can get out of his existing charges rather than making wholesale changes.

Serie A sides Fiorentina and Genoa have also been rumoured to have an interest, but Wolfsburg are cash happy and can afford to ‘go for the kill’ on more or less whoever they target.
