Advanced talks: Rangers’ busy summer transfer window continues

Rangers fans in the Transfer Tavern will be expecting a number of changes to be made to the Light Blues this summer and could be prepared to see one of their players depart Ibrox in the coming days.

Steven Gerrard has been focusing on his recruitment drive since he arrived at the Gers and has already brought in a number of players to help with rebuilding his squad. He is also expected to offload a number of players to help with raising funds, as well as reducing his squad and according to reports, one player could be about to depart.

Sky Sports are claiming that Joe Dodoo is on the verge of heading to Blackpool on a season-long loan and the two sides are in advanced discussions about a move to Bloomfield Road.

The striker had spent part of last season on loan to Charlton Athletic and is thought to have been given a chance by Gerrard to try and prove his worth to the Scottish outfit, before trying to offload him permanently.

Landlord’s Verdict

The Rangers fans in the Tavern will be pleased that the 22-year-old has been given an opportunity elsewhere to try and make a name for himself and will be watching how he develops closely. The former Leicester City man arrived at Ibrox with some promise but has failed to hit those heights so far and the locals will hope he can get things back on track with Blackpool.
