Everton fans look fuming here in the Football Transfer Tavern as Sky Sports run the latest quotes about Romelu Lukaku – and how he should not be playing for the club.
Lukaku has just signed on with super agent Mino Raiola – who has come out fighting for his client and while we agree with him making it clear how good he thinks Lukaku is, we are not too sure being downright offensive about the forward’s current club is the way to go.
Raiola spoke about Lukaku and claimed: ‘If we had met each other earlier, he wouldn’t have played for Everton,
‘Maybe somewhere else, maybe he would still be at Chelsea.
‘I want to be clear: Romelu is a better striker than Diego Costa and could have done the same as the Spaniard did this season.’
Now we like the Belgian forward and certainly rate him, but Lukaku is still so young and as anyone who watches the player on a weekly basis will tell you, he certainly misses more than his fair share of chances.
