A number of fans in the Transfer Tavern have been reacting to the news that Tottenham’s new £850 million stadia will be ready to be the club’s home ground for next season. According to Sky Sports News, the club has requested to play the first three or four games of the season away from home as they continue to cut it fine with delays to their new ground.

Tottenham played their home games at Wembley last season and still managed to finish 3rd in the Premier League and claim a number of high profile scalps in their makeshift home, despite the fears pre-season that Spurs had a ‘Wembley hoodoo’ after losing their last seven FA Cup semi-finals at the ground. Now though, the club look to transition into a new era in their new stadium after leaving White Hart Lane.
The fans will want to see the club retain a number of the key stars as they make the move into their new home. The likes of Mauricio Pochettino, Harry Kane, Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen will all be crucial components to the club as they prepare to start life at their new home. The 3rd placed finish last season will also serve them well as they can entertain Champions League football in their new 62,000 seater as they look to win their first league title for over 60 years.
