Amazing: These 2 Crystal Palace stars have really impressed under Hodgson this season

Crystal Palace fans here in the Tavern are worried about their future in the Premier League, with injuries playing a huge part in their recent poor run of results.

The Eagles are looking to extend their stay in the Premier League to six seasons with survival in the current campaign, with plenty of fond memories shared during their time in the top-flight thus far. However, Palace currently sit inside the bottom three with one point separating them from safety, as Roy Hodgson faces an uphill task from here on in to keep them afloat.

Encouragingly, there has been some quite outstanding performances produced by a number of players in their ranks thus far, with many of our local residents amazed by the standards that some have set. Indeed, the Eagles will rely heavily on a few of their key figures within the squad to ensure survival, having shown they have what it takes to become stars in the top-flight.

Therefore, here’s a look at TWO Crystal Palace players that have impressed so far this season…

Wilfried Zaha

Wilfried Zaha is undoubtedly the front runner to win at least one club award at the end of the season, having produced four goals and created two assists for his teammates with some unbelievable trickery on show.

Indeed, the 25-year-old spearheaded Palace’s rise off the foot of the table towards the beginning of the season, with his performances single-handedly saving the club from the clutches of despair.

However, he is currently spending time out on the sidelines through injury which could be the reason behind their recent negative results, with many of our local residents believing that his return holds the key to survival.

Bakary Sako

The former Wolverhampton Wanderers winger has enjoyed his breakthrough season at Selhurst Park, after stagnating behind the scenes in years gone by.

And, it’s safe to say that this season’s efforts have seen him become a fan favourite after displaying a rich vein of goalscoring form, with six goals to his name as the club’s second top scorer.

However, he is currently nursing an injury that’s set to keep him out for the remainder of the season, but his performances in the Palace side this campaign definitely deserve some kind of recognition.
