‘Announce Arsene Wenger’ - Rangers fans on Twitter continue to fume at the club’s posts

The Rangers fans in the Transfer Tavern are still getting over their 4-0 drumming at the hands of their noisy neighbours last Sunday. The fans are incensed that Graeme Murty is still charge of the club and have made their feelings clear. The club tweeted that two hospitality tickets at Ibrox are available to won, courtesy of Vaporised UK, with a link to the competition, although the fans weren’t having it as they used the tweet to call for Murty’s resignation.

Rangers fans believed they weren’t that far off of their Glasgow rivals Celtic, when they were narrowly beaten 3-2 at Ibrox in the Scottish Premiership last month. The sides then met again last Sunday as Rangers aimed to deny the Bhoys in Green the chance to win Scotland’s first back-to-back domestic treble. It wasn’t to be though for the Gers, who got smashed 4-0 and missed out on a Scottish Cup Final against Motherwell at Hampden Park on the 19th May.

In the aftermath of the defeat, Graeme Murty reportedly got ripped into by two of the club’s most senior pros, Kenny Miller and Lee Wallace, leading to both of the players being suspended by the club. The fans have sided with their players on this one though, leading the calls for Murty to be removed from the club as soon as possible, before the end of his current contract that expires at the end of the season in just five games time.
