Our Manchester United fans here in the Transfer Tavern cannot wait to see the Michael Carrick testimonial take place and it looks like things have just got a bit more exciting for them.
The Old Trafford club’s supporters are already looking forward to the business end of this season with them looking to get into the Champions League via either the top four or the Europa League.
Performances will have to be strong from now, then, whilst experience is also key and Carrick will surely lead in that regard.
The midfielder has been at the club for over a decade now and in that time has seen plenty of trophy wins, the majority of which came under Sir Alex Ferguson.
It’s only natural, then, for the legendary Scottish manager to return and manage one of the teams in this testimonial, leaving United fans on Twitter in cahoots.
