Ahead of the first Old Firm league meeting in four years this weekend, Scottish football gets a much-needed shot in the arm at long last.
Bitter rivals Celtic and Rangers proved during their last encounter in the Scottish Cup semi-final that, despite the wider problems dogging the domestic game, they can still produce a thrilling Glasgow derby.
Ahead of the Gers’ visit to Parkhead, much of the talk will be centring around their newly put together side as many of them get their first taste of a game this size.
It’s clear that the home side will more than likely enter the game as favourites, after winning the last five league titles at a relative canter.
The Hoops finally qualified for the Champions League proper one again as well, looking to add to some of the glorious European nights the club have already had.

Quite possibly the best technical goal scored in Old Firm history, Henrik Larsson helped cement himself as a club legend by tearing through the enemy in a Scandinavian flash.
Battle of Britain
Touted as the ‘Battle of Britain’, Celtic took on fellow (fallen) Euro greats Liverpool en route to the UEFA Cup final in 2003.
While the campaign ended in a heartbreak as they lost to Jose Mourinho’s Porto, John Hartson did this in the quarter-finals.
Watt a goal!
There have been goals easier on the eye than Tony Watt’s winner against Barcelona in the club’s history, of course.
However, few are as truly emotional as his winner back in 2012.
At the time, the Blaugrana were truly in their pomp as the best team in the world, making it even more special.
Watt’s now at Hearts, which is a shame for him.
