Loads of Arsenal fans have been raving about Cedric Soares amid the north London club’s reported interest in him.
According to The Telegraph, Arsenal are considering making a move for the 28-year-old and that has delighted some supporters. The Gunners are not exactly light in that position with both Hector Bellerin and Ainsley Maitland-Niles able to play there, but that does not necessarily mean Cedric would be a meaningless signing.
The Portugal international would come with some perks, which is why one fan said he has the potential to be a “smart signing”. For example, this season he has averaged 0.9 crosses per Premier League game (via WhoScored). That is more than Maitland-Niles’ average of 0.4 and Bellerin’s average of 0.3.
Is Mikel Arteta looking for a right-back that can add more of an attacking impetus down the flank with dangerous crosses into the box? Perhaps. Whatever the case, these Arsenal supporters clearly seem to be fans of the Euro 2016 winner.
