Arsenal made a huge change in the summer when they saw Unai Emery be instated as their new manager following the departure of Arsene Wenger.
It was always going to be difficult for the Spaniard to make a real impact at the Gunners following the Frenchman’s long stint and it appears he still has some way to go before he starts to impress some of the fanbase at the Emirates Stadium.
And, although there are definitely some real concerns, like issues still in the defence and their inability to win against the bigger teams in the Premier League, Arsenal fans are wrong to quickly write off what Emery has been able to do.
Obviously, the first thing that comes to mind is the fact that the Gunners have gone on a 16-game unbeaten run, having lost just the first two matches of the season, in games which they could have come away with something, especially against Chelsea.
That run also includes their exploits in the Europa League, where they secured qualification to the next round without any real difficulty.
As some of the fans mentioned, Emery has also managed to give the north London outfit an identity once again after losing it during the latter years of the Wenger era.
He has got his side playing some excellent attacking football and his team always look a threat going forward, whilst appearing to get the best out of some of his players – something the Frenchman failed to do.
Emery had also been successful when it came down to player recruitment, with all of his summer signings performing to an excellent standard, another area that Wenger did not always have a great track record with when they actually signed someone.
Admittedly, there are still concerns that the Spaniard still needs to address, but being just about a third of the way through the Premier League season, fans need to realise that things may not have been able to go much better than they already are.
