Arsenal fans have been berating former player Olivier Giroud after the forward was linked with a move to arch-rivals Tottenham Hotspur, with one supporter even claiming the France international ‘cost us a Premier League title’.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio (via GFFN), the Frenchman is in discussion with the Lilywhites over a move to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium with the club willing to hand him an 18-month deal. However, despite Jose Mourinho wanting the striker, it is also being reported that Chelsea are ‘not behind’ the idea of selling the 33-year-old to their London rivals.
One fan compared the striker to another former centre forward, Emmanuel Adebayor.

Given Giroud’s history with the Gunners, this could prove to be a controversial move from the former Montpellier man. He appeared in over 250 games for the club, scoring 105 goals as he won three FA Cups and three Community Shields (via Transfermarkt). His celebrations following last season’s Europa League final has already seen him earn the wrath of supporters and a move to the white half of north London may do little to calm any tension (via The Mirror).
