Arsenal: Fans debate potential Luka Jovic signing

Luka Jovic

Lots of Arsenal fans have debated the potential signing of Luka Jovic after AFTV Media asked whether the north London club should go in for the Real Madrid man on Twitter.

According to the Daily Star, the Gunners are interested in signing the Serbian international, who has also attracted the interest of London rivals Chelsea and Tottenham. The article revealed that Jovic could be made available on loan and it would be up to Arsenal whether they want to take on that offer or potentially sign him permanently.

The £28.8 million-rated striker has only managed 24 appearances in all competitions for Madrid this season, scoring just two goals and providing two assists, as per Transfermarkt.

Gooners were asked whether he could replace Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, with the striker potentially leaving in the summer (Football London), but both their stats for this campaign do not compare. The Gabonese international has made 32 appearances in all competitions, scoring 20 goals and making an assist (via Transfermarkt). Yes he has played more games, but the 30-year old’s goal-scoring ratio stands at 62.5%, whereas Jovic has only manages to score once every 12 matches.

These AFC supporters gave their thoughts on the potential signing of Jovic:

Hell ya

@AFTVMedia Nooo way should @Arsenal go in 4 Jovic as aubameyangs replacement and plus i dont rate jovic and dont want him anywhere near the club as @LeeGunner82 would say !!!

He is a great young talent. Many many players have a hard time at Madrid so i wouldn’t make much out of it but right now he is no replacement for Auba. He could be one for the future say a front 3 of
Martinelli Jovic Pepe but right now he is not a 30+ goal a season player

I don’t think you go and try and replace him. You already have a good striker in Lacazette. Invest in the midfield and hope one of Saka, Martinelli, or Nelson makes that LW/M theirs next season

I am a big fan of Jovic. I just hope Arsenal make the best move possible. Which is to resign auba.

Nahh.. I’ll go with James Rodriguez and sell Özil instead.. Auba & laca will stay

he’s been given many chances & been an absolute waste of space at Real… Only good for a small team like Stoke or Sp*rs . On top of that made BIG headlines in Serbia by BREAKING THE COUNTRY’S QUARANTINE to go to a party.
