Arsenal fans were feeling overjoyed after the latest comments from AS Roma head coach Paulo Fonseca on Henrikh Mkhitaryan emerged.
During the Italian outfit’s 4-0 win over Lecce, the Armenia international scored and assisted a goal as he continued to impress following his return from a thigh strain. And now it seems as though Fonseca would like to retain the services of the attacker on a permanent basis as he lauded the 30-year-old’s quality (via Sky Sports).
Despite suffering two different fitness issues this campaign, Mkhitaryan has enjoyed a decent year for the Serie A side, scoring five goals and assisting a further two in just 18 appearances across all competitions (via Transfermarkt). Still, a place in the north London side’s attack would seem long gone with Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli having impressed in the first team this season.
