Some Arsenal fans enjoyed news from The Athletic correspondent David Ornstein that the north London club have kept hold of medic Gary O’Driscoll following reports that he may have been on his way to Liverpool.
It means that the Reds are still searching for a medic to succeed Andrew Massey, with academy doctor Jim Moxon filling in on an interim basis at the moment.
Arteta has tested positive for the illness which meant that he had to go into self-isolation to stop the pandemic from spreading. Following advice from medical experts and the UK government, the whole squad and members of staff have done the same.
